Solution

IoT&Edge

Devices, gateways, telemetry and dashboards, from firmware up to the cloud.

From £10,000Indicative. Every project is quoted to scope.

We build end-to-end IoT systems, from the firmware on the device to the gateways, telemetry pipelines and dashboards that make the data useful. Everything is designed to keep working when connectivity is patchy.

What we do

Devices and firmware

Firmware for sensors and controllers that is power-aware, updatable over the air and resilient to reboots. We choose hardware with you and prove it out before committing to a build.

Telemetry and gateways

Reliable data collection over MQTT and other protocols, with buffering and edge processing so nothing is lost when the network drops. Gateways aggregate and filter data before it reaches the cloud.

Dashboards and alerts

Live dashboards, historical trends and alerting that flags problems before they escalate. We surface only the signals your operators care about, not raw noise.

Where it fits

Use cases.

Teams deploying and managing a fleet of connected devicesIndustrial and utility operators collecting sensor telemetryProduct companies adding connectivity to physical hardwareOperations teams needing devices that keep working offline

Telemetry pipeline

Devices publish sensor data over MQTT to a gateway and on to your backend, with buffering so nothing is lost on a flaky connection. Data lands in dashboards and alerts your team can act on.

Offline-first devices

When connectivity drops, devices keep recording and queue their data locally, then sync in order once they are back online. Operators see clearly which readings are live and which were backfilled.

Fleet management

Monitor device health, push configuration, and roll out firmware updates across a whole fleet from one place. Failed updates roll back rather than bricking a unit in the field.

Capabilities

Everything it covers.

  • Device firmware for common microcontrollers and Linux boards
  • Gateways that bridge local sensors to the cloud
  • MQTT telemetry with structured, versioned message formats
  • Offline buffering and ordered sync after reconnection
  • Over-the-air updates with safe rollback
  • Fleet dashboards for health, status, and configuration
  • Alerting on thresholds, faults, and silent devices
  • Secure provisioning and per-device credentials

Typical timeline

A connected prototype with one device type and a dashboard usually takes five to eight weeks; fleet features follow.

How scope works

Costs and timelines shift with the hardware, radios, and power budget involved. We confirm the constraints of your specific devices before scoping firmware work.

How we work

Four steps, no surprises.

01

Scope

We map the goal, the constraints and the risks, and agree a fixed brief before anything starts.

02

Design

Interfaces, architecture and the plan, reviewed with you before a line of code is written.

03

Build

Type-safe, tested delivery in short increments you can see and steer.

04

Launch & care

We ship, hand over everything, and keep it running if you want us to.

What you get

Deliverables

  • Device firmware with over-the-air update support
  • Telemetry pipeline from device to cloud with offline buffering
  • Gateway software for aggregation and edge processing
  • Operations dashboard with historical trends and alerts
  • Provisioning and fleet management runbook

Tools & technology

  • Device firmware
  • Telemetry pipelines

  • Edge computing

Outcomes

What you can expect.

Devices that keep collecting data through connectivity gaps

One place to see and manage the whole fleet

Firmware updates that can be rolled back if they misbehave

Telemetry your team can actually trust and act on

Questions

Good to know.

How long does IoT & Edge take?

Timelines depend on scope. Most engagements run from a few weeks to a few months, and you get a firm estimate after a short scoping call.

How is it priced?

From £10,000 is an indicative starting point. Every project is quoted to the scope we agree, with no surprises later.

Do we own what you build?

Yes. You own the source code, the design files and the accounts. There is no lock-in.

Do you maintain it after launch?

We can. Hosting, monitoring and updates are available as an ongoing plan, or we hand over cleanly to your team.
